This is the InHarmony podcast. Real conversations with the people living and working with our technology. How it's changing their days, their families, their practices, and their communities.
Hosted by our co-founder, Craig Goldberg. Let's get InHarmony. All right.
We are back once again with another longtime user of our technology. Vicky, we go back years and I am so grateful for you clicking that link to tell your story and talk a little bit about your experience with InHarmony. It's an absolute honor to have you here.
Thank you. Well, thank you for having me. Yeah, I'm a big believer, so big fan.
I know. It's been, and I'm so grateful for that. Do me a favor, take me back to what was happening in your life or your practice right before you brought InHarmony in.
What were you looking for at the time or how did we find you? What's the origin story for us? Yeah, I was actually looking for some non-pharmaceutical approaches to just well-being, pain management, etc. My husband has got arthritis and he's got some fibrosymptoms and that type of thing. We were using PEMF.
We have a MagnaWave machine that we've been using for a couple of years and getting results with that, but we were just on the hunt. We just want to feel our best without having to take any more medication than absolutely necessary. I think I was just on the whole Google hunt and it came across your website, had never heard of fibroacoustic therapy, didn't know anything about it.
I started doing a little research on my own. I dug into your website a little bit on some of the white papers and whatnot. Then one afternoon, I saw your little banner at the top that said, Colin, you can talk to the founder if you want to.
I thought, this guy's never going to pick up, but okay. Then you're like, hey, this is Craig. I was like, oh, wow, I was wrong.
We had a really good conversation. I remember you saying, I didn't think you were going to answer and I was like, it's my favorite thing to do. I know it's total BS, but I was wrong.
You answered all my questions. My biggest concern about the whole thing that was, I mean, your stuff is like Vegas in California and I'm like, I'm out here in Alabama, if I get this thing, how am I going to get it back to him if it's total crap or if I don't like it? I think the fact that you talked to me and you did put my mind at ease that if we were unhappy, we could return it. I just was like, okay, swipey, swipey.
I was like, let's do this. I remember the day it came, I was like, whoa, okay, this is some legit technology here. I got the practitioner too and rolled it out on the floor and hooked it up.
I had it up and running in about 10 or 15 minutes. John was still working. He's since retired.
He came home from work a little bit later and I was like, dude, you just follow me. You got to go lay down on this thing. He did and I was just blown away.
I mean, very shortly thereafter, I decided to bring it into my aesthetics practice. My daughter owns an Aveda salon. We have a spa there.
We have a practitioner in my treatment room where I do facials. We have another one in another treatment room where we do them as stand-alone treatments. Yeah, it's just kind of been one little step after the next.
Two and a half years ago. Yeah. I was just looking up your orders on my other screen, two and a half years.
What an honor. Look, I think there's a great testimonial there of doing what we say we're going to do. It's one of my guiding lights.
I love it when my phone rings and I love it when I get to talk to people. I love it when they think I'm AI or not going to answer the phone. I'm like, no, no, no.
This is Craig. I literally answer. I have six phone calls to call back right now because I've been on my Monday meetings, but I will call them back and we will talk about it.
I'm excited to announce, I'll announce it here and I'll let you know too, we're shifting to a lifetime limited warranty, which goes back to all of our products, so there's taking even more risk. It used to be two years, parts and service, and we're shifting to lifetime. That goes back retroactive to all of our products and your purchases as well.
For new customers that are coming in, we're shifting to a 100-day confidence guarantee of like, hey, you got 100 days to try this technology and if you don't absolutely love it, I want it back. We've got some hoops to jump through and some parameters that you need to go by, but we're taking the risk out of that investment and we're paying for return shipping. Really, I want the risk to be removed and I'm so confident in our product and the experience and its quality that if you use this product, you're going to want to keep it.
If you don't use it, well, you can cover the shipping and the return shipping if you just get it and want to return it. You're protected, but if you try the tech and you absolutely love it and we have a conversation about it, you've tried it 10 sessions in 30 days and you don't love it, I'll happily take it back. I would be honest.
It's good to me if they don't like it. We'll get them to somebody that has. I can't keep it in my warehouse, so we'll get it to somebody that's really going to love it, appreciate it, and feel the way that you do.
What does a session look like for you, maybe at home versus in clinic or with a client? What does a session look like for you? I get up every morning pretty early. I usually get up about 5.36. I just get up and I have a treatment room at my home. I have the practitioner set up on a massage table here at the house, and then I have another one obviously at the salon.
I get up first thing in the morning. I go in there. I do about 30 minutes on the mat, and then I get up and do a little stretching and have my coffee and all of that.
I start my day pretty much that way every day, and then John does the same thing after I get off the mat. Then I go wake him up. He gets up and does the same thing.
We both try to do about 30 minutes in the morning before we do anything. Then I do kind of the same thing at night, honestly. When I'm done watching a show or something, I'm like, all right, peace out.
I'm going to go get on the mat. I do maybe 20, 30 minutes. A lot of times, I just fall asleep in there.
It's funny how when it stops, my brain will be like, okay, wake up, and I'm like, oh, here I am again. My wife and I wrestle over who's going to go first at night. Yeah.
Yeah. Because there are many times, usually John gets on it after I do in the evening, and a lot of times it's three or four in the morning, he remembers to get up and go to bed. I've woken my wife up many a time, so I'm like, hey, it's my turn now.
Get up. Yeah. That's awesome.
That's kind of our routine with it as far as personally. Definitely. Then, I have incorporated it, like I said, I have it on a treatment table where I do facials and waxing and lashes and all of these things through the day.
I don't really do a lot of standalone treatments with it in the spa because- How do you incorporate it? Yeah. I think that's great. How does it work incorporated, and what does that look like? Yeah.
What I've done was when I first got it, I just offered it complimentary to my existing clientele and said, hey, this thing's amazing. I just want you to try it. I just did a quick little check in on contraindications, made sure we were good to go.
Then I gave everybody, not just a 10-minute session, I gave them a 30-minute session. Usually it was concurrent with something else we were doing, so it's while they were getting a facial or while they were getting their lashes done. What I kind of dialed in was from the very first time I started doing facials, I used to get comments all the time.
At the end of a treatment, people would say, oh man, I wish I didn't have to get up. I wish I could just stay here a little longer. We had been talking about that for a long time before I found out about VibroAcoustics.
I structured it so that I timed my sessions with whatever track we're using so that I complete whatever I'm doing with my guests about six minutes before that track is over. I leave them on the mat. I say, you've got about five, 10 more minutes on this.
I'm going to step out. I'll see you out front. I go out, go check my messages, whatever.
They get that last five to 10 minutes on the mat by themselves in the room without having to jump up and not feeling rushed. I believe that has just made a tremendous difference as far as a point of difference. We've done a couple of price increases since I got the InHarmony mat.
Nobody even bats an eye because there's so much more perceived value to the treatments that they're getting. I do charge for incorporating the session, but I sometimes will just do it complimentary. I've got somebody that came in and they've just had a really terrible week.
I'll just do it complimentary, just as my gift to them. I set it up so that it was affordable enough that it was a no-brainer to just say yes. If they tried it once and they loved it, I would say 90% of the people that have done it always want it whenever they come for a service.
They just love that. What a great combination of getting a facial while you're getting VibroAcoustics. What a nice enhancement.
I think the part that excites me most is that you're obviously using it at the salon, you're using it at home, you're very familiar with it, you're dedicated to it. It becomes a really easy talking point in conversation of like, hey, you want to check out something I spend about an hour of a day on when I'm not here? It's just a really easy conversation. If someone were in this same seat six months before you made your purchase, what would you say to them as far as InHarmony, the company, the product, the services? What would you say to somebody who's looking at InHarmony and thinking, should I do this? I would just say that really, I think you guys have done a really great job of taking the risk out of it.
I recouped the cost of my mat very quickly because I have it in my practice. Within six months, I had recouped the cost of it just from adding it to my service menu but even if I had not had an aesthetics practice and I was just using it for my personal use at home, very quickly I saw how valuable it was. I think I had sent you a text shortly after we got it.
I was like, you couldn't pay me to send it back to you. I love it that much. You can't have it back and I really do feel that way.
I think John and I have talked about it multiple times that I think if there was one thing that improved drastically for both of us, it was the quality of our sleep. To me, that is just like the linchpin of health and well-being. If you can sleep, you can heal.
You can get better. You can feel better and we were not sleeping well. I have loaded this thing up in my car and taken it with me on vacation.
I do have a competitor's thinner mat that I now do travel with sometimes because sometimes I can't really take the practitioner to everywhere with me. That being said, it's not the same. It serves its purpose but it is not equal in my opinion, quality-wise, experience-wise.
I won't name names but I will just say that I am really glad that I have this one. It is quality equipment with the lifetime warranty. I can't imagine a better investment in your health.
As you know from my order list, I have clients of mine from the spa that have ordered their own and they love it. I have not had one person that has ordered their own that has said this was not a good purchase for me. They use them.
They love them. One of my ladies, she and her husband are renovating their house right now so they're in a little rental but she insisted on taking her mat with her to the rental because she's like, yeah, this is going with me because she uses it daily. I take mine with me everywhere I go as well, no doubt.
Yeah, it's really a game changer just for pain. I don't know if I had told you this. I did do the certification process to get certified.
I would recommend that to anybody that wants to bring this obviously into their practice just so that you feel kind of got your feet under you for answering people's questions about how it works and why it works and you can point them in the right direction. Not only do we like the in-harmony tracks, we like being able to use some of the pure frequencies as well. I like to just lay on it and listen to music.
It's good for all of that. Absolutely. Have you listened to Till the Last Note ends? No.
So in every one of our emails, which you might not be getting, but in each one of our emails we outline, we have been running a compilation of a playlist on Spotify that basically talks about all popular music that sounds and feels amazing through the technology. Nine Inch Nails, Tom Petty, some of the Tom Petty music. But specific popular tracks that have these incredibly deep baselines that feel amazing.
I listen to it in my car. It's an incredible playlist put on by John Hill, who's been using our technology for seven, eight years. And his knowledge of music is profound.
And he's been incorporating this into his process as the vibroacoustic therapist at an alcohol and recovery center. Highly recommend looking for Till the Last Note ends. It's apostrophe T, which makes it tricky to find and much easier to find.
So apostrophe T-I-L, Till the Last Note ends on Spotify. Okay. I will be doing that right away.
It's funny because I think it was this morning John was asking me if I wanted to just listen to some music on the mat. And I said, oh yeah, we can still do it. So I just need to put Spotify on the iPad.
That is one thing we found that was helpful for us. I just dedicated an iPad to both of the mats and it just lives there. I never have to worry about doing Bluetooth or anything.
If it's the tech is being wonky for whatever reason, if the internet's- Best practice for sure. Yeah. Look, it's a great thing to mention because it does come up.
If I'm trying to connect to the table and somebody else's phone is in the next room and the tech connects to that phone, then I've got to find the phone within 30 feet of the amp. I've got to disconnect. There is some nuance to that and it's worth mentioning.
Dedicating a device to each one is great. I actually have, because I do events so often, I actually have six or five or six different iPad minis and they're numbered. And when I go to an event, I set them up in order and I know the order in my head.
And then I just bring them back out the next day and they just fire right up and they automatically connect. And I remove and forget that amp from all of the other devices. So it can only connect to one amp and they just all go into Bluetooth mode and they all go in.
But it's great when you got multiple people in the household, kids. You can log into the app and run concurrent sessions, but it's always best to dedicate a device to it. And then log in on your personal phone so you can listen when you're in your car or at home stereo system or whatever.
And you have that other option to do it as well. I think that's great. Super grateful, Vicki.
I really appreciate you, your family. I love how much you love what we do. And thank you for sharing your experience and taking some time with us here.
Anything you want to close with? No, I would just say if you're thinking about doing it and you haven't, just pull the trigger. You're not going to be sorry. You're going to really benefit so much.
Thank you so much for making such a great product. I know there's so much love and time and effort that goes into this and it keeps you away from the things that you love and the people you love to bring this out into the world and bring it to everybody. But you're making a difference and I do appreciate that so much.
I appreciate that. Thanks for spending time with us on the InHarmony podcast. If today's conversation resonated, share it with someone who needs it and come find us at IamInHarmony.com. Until next time, stay In Harmony.
