This is the InHarmony podcast, real conversations with the people living and working with our technology. How it's changing their days, their families, their practices, and their communities, hosted by our co-founder, Craig Goldberg. All right, ladies and gentlemen, honored for our first episode, actually.
So this is quite exciting. And I can't think of a better person to have as our first episode than Kate the Great. I know it says Kate Holloman, but Kate is Kate the Great, and she is great, and y'all are going to find that out.
So welcome to another episode, the first episode of the InHarmony podcast, where we talk about our technology, how it's being used, speaking with and connecting with owners of our technology that use it in business and in personal, which we're going to hear, I'm sure, today. And Kate, thank you so much for being here. Yes, you're welcome.
Thank you for starting this and having me on, inviting me. It's so interesting how much vibroacoustic has brought me to my show. Well, let's do this.
Take me back to what was happening in your life. I know this is going back probably eight or nine years at this point, but take me back to what was happening in your life or your practice right before you brought InHarmony in. What were you looking for? What was going on? And how did you find us, if you remember? Yeah, actually, I'll take 30 seconds and bring you way, way, way back.
So in 1998, graduated from massage school, so I'll be, you know, in this industry almost 30 years. I just say that I started when I was born, so 30, you know, and this is innate, you know, there's just an innate calling that has been on my life. And so I went through massage school, did that for like 20 years as far as just having my own business, watching people come and go, some amazing, you know, sessions and reliefs.
But there was one aspect that was very present for me that was missing. And that was like, what about the emotional component and what actually happens in a massage? What about those people that want to be and feel better, but can't get touched either from some post-traumatic stress or from fibromyalgia? And I was like, well, they're all worthy too. And so God had put it on my heart for a long time that there's something out there.
And I was like, okay, what is it? What is it? And during this process, I was also led to go into my own self, like, why do I keep creating certain things? How do I break through? And so to go hands-off, I just kept hearing go hands-off, go hands-off. And I was like, okay, well, I'll try, I'll learn cupping. That's kind of hands-off.
I'm not like physically touching them with my hands, right? It's just a cup. And I was like, well, that was really cool. I love cupping.
And then I was like, the Theragun came out, you know, and that type of vibration, then yeah. And so I had gotten one of those and I was like, okay. And it was just like, I wasn't quite hitting the mark.
So anyway, long story short, I went through these amazing workshops, just emotional intelligence, learned that. And I was like, okay, I could see how I could start to integrate this into my clientele, into my massages, start to get into the emotional stuff, right? And a client came in one day and she's like, so I heard about this thing and I tried it and it's amazing. And I was like, okay, great.
She was like, I think you got to meet this guy. And for me, like I'm all about, if God says go, I go. You know, if I hear spiritually and it aligns and I get all, you know, goose bumpy, I go.
So I said, sure. You know, woke up in the morning and then on the way to this guy's place, I was like, my body was doing something. I thought, well, this is odd.
You know, I've been on this road a long time, like over and over and over on this highway. I'm like, why is this happening in my body? And it was that there's this internal knowing that my life is about to change, you know? And so I go and I knock on this guy's door and wouldn't you know, here's Craig. Hi.
So good. Yeah. And I, and I'd love to tell him the story because you're like, so loving and you and an EPAC and you're pregnant and it was adorable and you're like, Hey, come on, have a seat.
You know, just like old buddy from a long time. It's like, okay. And then at this thing over here, you want to try it? And I was like, sure.
When I sat down and I was like, what is this? And I was just seriously, Craig. I don't know if I've told you the story or not, but I sat on that and I was like, what is all this stuff was happening in my knowing in my body? And I was like, and then you said, you remember what you said to me? You go, would you like me to turn it on? I do remember that. I do remember that.
I was like, Kate, if you love it now, it's not even on yet. I was just like, I don't know. What do you mean? It turns on how, what is it? Because otherwise it's just like this little cushion or mattress, right? It's comfortable by itself.
Yeah. Yeah. And the curvature and I was sitting on it and then you're like, yeah, sure.
Just lay down. And seriously, like I don't do any iffy stuff. Um, and so I laid down and all these thoughts that I'd never had before just start cascading.
And I was like, I'm going to have like a really trippy experience. And you're like, you know, it's your experience, right? We never know. Yeah.
Every one person is normal to another. Yeah. And you know, and so it was like, uh, you're like, Hey, you know, would you like a blanket? Would you like this? And I was like, okay, I just laid down in a strange man's house.
Like, well, so that's the other thing I've given, you know, tens of thousands of sessions in my home studio and it's usually through a referral or an introduction or somebody finding me on the internet and how relaxed can you get in that first session? And obviously you've had subsequent sessions since, but how relaxed can you get? And the reality is you can get very relaxed, especially once you realize that you're in a safe place and you're with my family and you're in a, you can feel the energy of my home and, and all of the conscious attention that we put towards that intention that we put towards that. Yeah. Walk me through, you've given also probably tens of thousands of sessions as well.
This is going back nine years ago. Well, six years ago, seven years ago, because harmony is now six. Yes.
And, and I remember where it was my apartment on RB on the second floor. I mean, I really do remember it like it was, you know, yesterday and walk me through what a session actually looks like. All right.
So let's, and let's even, let me even frame this a little bit differently. So Kate, Kate is a body worker and an amazing massage therapist for almost 30 years. She's been doing it since she was in the womb.
And as she mentioned, and, and she's worked on us countless times, I don't know, once, twice a month, maybe even once a week for, for years on end when she was living here in Vegas. And that allows me and you to really talk about the tech and it allows you and I to it allows me to download my vision of, of this technology, how I want to see it used, what downloads I get of how this will be used. And you brought an introduced a very, a very unique subset of experience that I don't have.
I've received a lot of body work, but I've never been trained as a therapist. And you've been trained in all these different modalities. And we were able to use it with coffee.
We were able to use it with mechanical body work. We were able to use it with medical massage, all these different trainings and certificate certifications that you have, we've applied it and that has grown. And we'll talk a little bit about your course and the CEU credit and everything else that you're doing, but walk me through what a session actually looks like for you now.
And, and where does it fit into your day personally? And then I guess for your clients and how you work it in there as well. Yeah. Great question too, because it's changed over the years, you know, so I went from complete hands-on, just that mindset of like, you got to get in there, you know, um, to, I hardly touch anybody anymore.
And the results that I get, they last longer. Um, so with or without, so a session with vibroacoustic and body work. Um, so I'm a firm believer because this has completely changed my life and I am in an aspect of my career that didn't even, doesn't even really exist, right? Psychoacoustic therapy, not really, not like this.
And so I went from integrating it into my current practice when, when I purchased it initially to trying to figure this out, like, how does this work? Right. So where we're at now and I'm at, um, is I really go to bat for our industry massage therapy, body workers. I firmly believe, and I won't budge, um, that vibroacoustic should be administered at least 10 minutes before anybody puts hands on.
And the reason why is because of the nervous system. So the example that I give is, and every massage therapist or body worker gets it. It's like, you got a client that comes in and we usually hear the same thing.
So it's like, oh gosh, that was, there was traffic or my kid, this or that, and they're coming in with all of this stuff. That's not our stuff. That's their stuff.
And I say this lovingly, right? But now that we know we can't unknow. And so we know that vibroacoustic will settle them in. So instead of all of this out here, it literally goes right within 10, 15 minutes.
Now they're here. Now they're in front of me. And all of those thoughts and stuff, that cascade starts to calm.
That, that's what we should be working with. So what we do is we allow clients to go into our just rest and restore area. We have this really neat space at our clinic and they can just sit there.
It's our waiting room. It's more of the, uh, the complimentary, you know? And then when they get on their table, we have practitioners on all of our tables. And so we do body work with them and the body work that is done with them is so incredibly profound, but the pain levels go down tremendously.
Understanding how that happens, why it happens and how that's even possible. So I say true natural medicine, um, is life changing for everybody. You know? And so that's one way that we, uh, we include it.
We include it. Everybody gets it before we touch them. And then we go into session and then there are some times that we just leave them there for a little bit after too.
That's awesome. Look, that is our, our FDA registration is, is in working with low levels of pain. And, and that is exactly what mechanical vibration and the impact that is already proven in the science and the research and documented in the science and research.
You can look up our FDA registration by going to the FDA registration, look up through Google and you can find in harmony and you'll see our registrations. We're of course doing more science and research as we record this. We are pushing towards FDA clearance and approval.
It's a long path, but clinical research is already happening and will continue to happen. We should be in a clinical trial by the end of this year, 2026, which I'm very excited about. And you have largely been a pioneer, not just because you're working on my body and I got to tell you the vision that I have for in harmony, vibrational body work and, and the vision that I hold with you, Anthony, and a couple other therapists in a room creating music, frequencies, sequences, a MIDI player.
Like we've got a whole vision for where we want this to go, but you've been using it in practice. Not only that, but you want to talk about LMT a little bit and, and that castle, that beautiful castle that you're sitting in right now. And what else has come from our relationship, which I'm exceptionally proud of by the way.
And I love seeing you too. That's for sure. Yeah, yeah.
So as far as LMT and what we've been able to create, it's taken a couple of years, but we do have, I would say first approved CEU course designed for massage therapists and body workers. And so, you know, we're, we've been in a partnership, a collaboration, you know, for a while now in harmony has definitely been, you know, um, the, the right arm in helping as well as ABW. And we're just so excited, you know, to be instructors, to be able to bring this to the forefront.
We've got a class coming up on Monday and Tuesday. Um, you know, that's a CEU course at our clinic. And then I teach, you know, a non-CEU course for psychoacoustic therapy.
That's all hands off. And, um, that's what I'm saying, you know, incorporating vibroacoustic therapy into your professional, um, field into your skillset is life changing. And there are things that have happened and are still happening and will happen that we couldn't even have dreamed of or thought of without being introduced to you in harmony and all that y'all go to bat for, for vibrational therapy, you know, so does that answer the question? Well, I was talking about Brian and, and that love bird story, but I know, I know.
Oh, yeah. So, uh, yeah, I look for my smile. I love it.
You know, it was so interesting. Cause like, I'm here by myself today and I just, I had music going on and I was like, twirling around and I thought, oh my gosh, you know, this is a little girl's fantasy, you know, a princess and, and that's what was coming through. And that's what was being channeled is like, you know, I got to meet, uh, another massage therapist a couple of years ago.
And we were at a professional conference. I was demoing, you know, the tech with Craig's assistance and help and support. And sure enough, you're out of, you know, four or 500 people at this conference and comes this guy.
So stoic and I was like, oh gosh, I don't know about that one. So good. He's the most gentle.
He's the gentlest man. And so, you know, I just kind of joke around and then we got to get married here at this beautiful crap. It's a castle.
Let's just fast forward real quick. Fell in love, met at a conference, you know, so cool. Right.
And so, you know, we're a few years into this and, and then, uh, so professionally, our career is growing spiritually. We're just growing leaps and bounds. Relationship is so important, um, professional and, um, you know, and personal.
So, so Brian is an instructor. He was familiar with the process, fell in love with the technology, was already a medical massage instructor. Of course, of course, it's the pair.
I'm tearing up over here. You can't see it on camera, but I got tears in my eyes as I think about this because one, I love you and have for so long and I love Brian and, and it's just been absolutely incredible. We've stayed at your house.
We visited you in Abilene. It's an incredible bond that, that we have. And I want you to know, as we wrap up, I'm eternally grateful for all we're going to have to have you back again.
I want to keep these around 15 or 20 minutes. We definitely have a lot more to talk about and to share. You can find us on, on just about every platform, creating content together.
I've had you in studio and my home when we set up for our professional shoots. And if someone were in your, if someone were in your position in the few months before you met InHarmony, and we'll kind of wrap up with this. Yeah.
If they were sitting in that same position that you are now, what would you, what would you tell them about your InHarmony experience, the technology, the impact briefly? Because I know, I know, I know what you have to say on the topic, but what would you say to that person? Well, I do say, I say this all the time because we do do these conferences, right? And well, one, they have their own unique experience. And so that just happens. And their first experience is super important.
And then they get their own ideas. But to integrate vibroacoustic therapy into the current skillset that's already there just amplifies everything. And not, not only for that particular therapist, but for their client, for their family, and to have it in their practice for the entire community, you know, and we each do that.
And it just keeps growing and growing and growing and growing. I really believe we're making a difference. So Brian and I, we want to, we want to work with the people that have the people, you know, that we can really make a bigger impact.
Yeah. Kate, look, you're one of our most successful affiliates. You've sold the most amount of technology.
